Spend a little over two hours on a Eurostar train from London, and you can find yourself in Brussels.

A trip to the capital of Belgium can be an especially fun way to spend a weekend away for those who like their food and drink.

Belgium chocolates are particularly sumptuous and there are lots of chocolatiers in Brussels where you can taste and buy them. The country is also famed for its waffles, beer and national dish of mussels and fries.

No trip to Brussels is complete without a visit to the Atomium in the Heysel Park. Constructed by architect André Waterkeyn for the 1958 World Fair in the city, the Atomium is a model of a crystalline metal molecule, magnified 150 billion times.
