RNCM alumnus wins chance to record at Abbey Road Studios

RNCM alumnus Steven Jackson is one of eight winners of Abbey Road Studiosí Anthem Competition, with his composition So Alive, So Clear.

Abbey Road Studios began a search at the start of 2011 for original, unsigned and undiscovered composers from across the globe. The competition was launched to celebrate the Studiosí 80th anniversary, and was open to musicians of all ages.

Steven was up against over 900 other competition entrants, and his prize was to record his work in Abbey Road Studiosí world-famous Studio One, with the London Symphony Orchestra, some of the UKís finest singers, and to have it conducted by renowned composer Eric Whitacre.

More information about the Anthem Competition and the other winners is available on the Abbey Road Studios website.
